Ollantaytambo - Urubamba Valley — View of the Urubamba Valley from atop Ollantaytambo.
Pisac Market — At the mountain village of Pisac, in the basin of the Sacred Valley, there lies a pretty cool Incan fortress. But our Sacred Valley tour wasn't here for that; they were here so we could throw some money at the biweekly commercial market. (We didn't so much like our Sacred Valley tour.) It was interesting to see, though, how the families from different villages lined up in their own areas, which you could tell from the headwear. Everyone in this row wore a particular type of hat, while no hats were found among those in the next "aisle".
Pisac Market — Erin shows off her mid-morning snack: a freshly boiled cob of corn with Chernobyl-sized kernels, about the size of a fist (but harder to chew).
Chinchero — Remains of Incan terraces in the very high and secluded mountain town of Chinchero.
Chinchero Plaza de Armas — The town's church, built on top of an Incan temple, and the main square, lined with locals selling anything that can be made from alpaca.
Chinchero Street — Each of the two streets of Chinchero require a steep climb. Those who survive it are rewarded by a young boy selling coca tea, who really should be on the bottom.
