Great Blue Heron — A lone heron on the rocks of Isla Santa Cruz.
Brown Pelican — A brown pelican at the cove near Darwin Beach getting way too much sunlight.
Galapagos Hawk — At the top of the Galapagos food chain is the hawk, predator of just about anything they can get their talons on.
Galapagos Hawk — Another hawk poses in front of our boat at James Bay.
Masked Booby — A masked booby at Isla Genovesa sounds an alarm whistle, as we're getting too close to his nest.
Masked Booby at Punta Suarez — A masked booby enjoys the cool air and the view off on a cliff edge.
Masked Booby and Chick — A very young chick staying cool in the shade provided by his parent. Because the masked booby always provides shade for its infant by putting its back to the sun, masked booby nests are always easy to spot by the ring of guano they leave as they turn with the sun throughout the day.
Masked Booby Chick — A young masked booby, a couple of weeks old, as it's starting to grow feathers.
