River Meets Ocean — A smaller river interrupts our hike from the tent camp as it meets the ocean.
Macaws on Beach — The beautiful and endangered scarlet macaw, seen in the wild on the beach at Corcovado, and near our tent camp.
Coatis in Parque Nacional Corcovado — A young coati shows some curiosity about his photographers.
Coatis in Parque Nacional Corcovado — While hiking along the beach, we came across a pack of coatis. We watched as one raced after and caught a lizard, and the rest just gradually made their way across the sand toward us, barely even acknowledging us.
Keith, Kim, and Etta at Parque Nacional Corcovado — The three of us posing during our hike on the beach at the national park.
Near Playa San Josecito — A walk along the beach during our day hike to Rio Claro.
Near Rio Claro — Just up the beach from Rio Claro, which you can see meeting the ocean in the background.
Pelican Near Playa San Josecito — A brown pelican sits atop a tree along the beach over which our trail passed.
