Killer Bug — A three-inch green beetle tries to hide itself among the leaves of the forest floor, disguised as a simple leaf-eating insect. In reality, it's a vicious killer that will lunge out from under a leaf, chomp on a passing victim's Achilles heel (no doubt distracted by waving its arms furiously to ward off the flies), then slowly digest the entire human body over several weeks. (Or something like that.)
Laguna El Espejo — A glimpse of "Mirror Lake" on our short hike into the middle of the forest.
Laguna El Espejo — Turns out this wasn't just the best view on our hike, it was the only view. After leaving this well-constructed viewing platform in the trees, we ventured about a mile or so into the woods, and saw...nothing. We figured it was meant to turn up somewhere nice, but wherever that was, it was too far for us. (Hey, remember, we just came here for the baths!)
Don't Stop and Smell the Flower — A colorful flower attracts the attention of hikers and giant flies. ("Run! It's a trap!")
