Calle Jaén Museums — This courtyard lies at the center of four combined museums, which present a sort of "general" collection of leftover exhibits. The Museo de Metales Preciosos Pre-Colombinos, for instance, displays coins and currency from centuries before, while the Museo Casa Murillo features paintings, sculptures, and traditional costumes, that have nothing to do with Pedro Domingo Murillo (whose house it once was), or the rooms of photographs showing the progression how La Paz has grown to become a modern city over the last 100 years.

Valley of the Moon — One of La Paz's most popular attractions, just outside the city, a landscape formed by centuries of strong winds funneling between the mountains.

Valley of the Moon — As expansive as the "valley" seems, it's continuing to shrink due to erosion. But this is not so much a force of nature as it is capitalism. Huge sections, like the green part seen in the background, are being razed by commercial developers for construction of new businesses and expensive homes. Many residents of La Paz are forced to slowly watch as one of their natural marvels is slowly turned into a giant parking lot.
Valley of the Moon — Fortunately, there are still places one can go here to be in touch with nature, rather than golf clubs and factories. For now, at least....
